-33

back at camp after another long day of flights to get here.  i got randomly selected for a pat down at tthe edmonton aitport.  that was fun  and then a guy sat next to me who just ate a salami sandwich  as it reaallly stunk up the plane.  so this morning we took a small plane  45 minutes into camp, kinda cool seeing  large tanker trucks traveling the ice roads below us,  we usually only fly 800 ft high  so can see pretty good.
yellow knife was cold but man  getting out of the plane today was harsh, it was not windy and sunny but -33  , its night time now and gotta be alot lower than that,  but its a dry cold.
i am the medic this time as there was another guy here,  ill be replacing him when he leaves in three weeks.  i sleep in the medic shack wich has a extra bed for patients , its pretty cozy and warm  i like it. one bad thing its far away from the  toilets, so gonna suck when i gotta pee in the middle of the night.
it was really good to see old faces,  they really make it feel like a home here.   i really like most of  he people here and they  seem to like me. imagine  that. .
so for a first day it was pretty good.  although as usual i didnt sleep very good last night then cause of the time change, i woke up at 430 and couldnt get back to sleep.
but ill sleep tonight.
good night
